The recall involves Great Value Fruit Cocktail in Fruit Juice from Concentrate, distributed by Walmart.
Consumers can identify the product by its UPC number: 078742369570. The affected cans also carry lot code 6FCB 04 C2263 and a best-if-used-by date of September 1, 2027.
The recall was initiated by manufacturer Pacific Coast Producers and classified as a Class II recall by the Food and Drug Administration. That classification means exposure could cause temporary or medically reversible health effects.
The recalled product was distributed to Walmart stores in seven states. Illinois was not included in the listed distribution area.
Consumers who have a can matching the recalled product information should not eat it. They should dispose of the product or contact Walmart about return options.
