Memorial Specialty Care Cardiology in Decatur is expanding its team with the addition of a new heart specialist.
Dr. Boniface Malangu is an interventional cardiologist who specializes in treating and preventing heart disease and heart failure.
His training includes fellowships in cardiology at the University of Iowa and interventional cardiology at Thomas Jefferson University. He also completed his medical degree at New York Medical College.
Dr. Malangu says he enjoys working with patients to manage heart conditions, reduce their risk of heart disease and improve their quality of life.
He joins a team of four cardiologists and seven advanced practice providers at Memorial Specialty Care Cardiology, which is based at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
