Monday Afternoon Shooting in Decatur Under Investigation

Decatur Police are investigating a shots-fired incident on the city’s east side. Officers were called to the 1700 block of East Division Street around 12:30 Monday afternoon after reports of gunfire in the area. Police say, at this point, there are no reports of anyone being injured. Investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting and whether any homes, vehicles, or property were struck. Anyone who may have seen or heard something, or who has information that could help detectives, is urged to contact the Decatur Police Department.
