A Decatur woman is once again sentenced to six years in prison for a 2024 DUI crash that injured a Mount Zion teenager. Authorities say Karen Boehm was driving in May of last year when she struck a 16-year-old riding a motorcycle in the 2500 block of North 22nd Street. Boehm had previously pleaded guilty to aggravated DUI and received the same six-year sentence. But that sentence was later voided after her defense argued she was not properly admonished before sentencing. The case returned to court, where the six-year prison term was reimposed.
