Former Decatur Public School Employee Pleads Guilty To Sex Abuse

A former Decatur Public Schools teaching assistant has pleaded guilty in connection with a sexual relationship involving a teenage boy. Nicholl Boose entered the plea last week to a misdemeanor charge of criminal sexual abuse. Authorities say the case began in March, when a Decatur Police school resource officer received information that Boose and a 16-year-old boy were involved. Officials say the teen was not a student in the district. Police had investigated a similar allegation involving the pair last October, but that case was closed because of insufficient evidence. Boose was not employed by Decatur Public Schools at that time. Sentencing is set for October 2nd.
