Decatur Public School District is reminding all families about an important upcoming deadline.
State-required physical exams and immunization records must be turned in by October 15th. This requirement may apply to students entering pre-K, kindergarten, sixth grade, ninth grade, twelfth grade, as well as any student who is new to the district.
In addition, children age seven and younger are required to have a lead screening on file.
Families are encouraged to check with their child’s school as soon as possible to make sure all health records are complete and up to date. If the required records are not submitted by the deadline, students will not be able to attend school until the documentation is received.
