IDNR Announces Locations for Testing Deer for Chronic Wasting Disease

Illinois deer hunters are being urged to take advantage of free chronic wasting disease testing sites across the state. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources says C-W-D is a fatal disease that attacks the central nervous system in deer and elk. Hunters can have harvested deer tested at participating taxidermists and meat processors, or they can drop deer heads at designated self-service sampling stations.
