Cyclists will have the chance to ride through the countryside while supporting local conservation efforts this weekend during the annual Prairie Pedal.
The event is scheduled for Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rock Springs Conservation Area.
Riders can choose from 20-, 40- or 62-mile routes along quiet country roads.
Prairie Pedal is a fundraiser for the Macon County Conservation Foundation, supporting local wildlife and natural areas.
Registration is $40 per rider. Participants receive a giveaway item, access to stocked rest stops along the routes and food at the finish line.
The event takes place at Rock Springs Conservation Area, 3939 Nearing Lane in Decatur.
