Pana Police are warning area businesses to be on the lookout for counterfeit U.S. currency.
Police say they have received complaints from multiple businesses over the past couple of weeks involving counterfeit $100, $50 and $10 bills. Police also say some people have attempted to use the counterfeit bills during cash transactions.
Pana Police have identified two people of interest who may be involved in circulating the counterfeit currency.
The U.S. Secret Service has been notified and is assisting with the investigation.
Police are reminding businesses and employees to carefully examine cash transactions and report any suspected counterfeit currency to law enforcement.
