Rock-Springs-Fairview Park Bike Trail Partially Closed

A portion of the Rock Springs-Fairview Park bike trail is closed until further notice as erosion-control work continues in Macon County. The Macon County Conservation District says the affected stretch runs from the Stevens Creek 1 bridge to the Sangamon River bridge. Officials shared the construction update on Facebook this week, noting the project is designed to address erosion along the Stevens Creek bank near the trail. Trail users are asked to avoid the closed section and plan alternate routes through the park while crews work in the area. No reopening date has been announced.
