Labor Day weekend still wide open?
Don’t spend it arguing with your grill or pretending yard work is “relaxing.” Decatur’s labor unions are having a full day for the whole community.
It starts downtown at 10 a.m. with one of Decatur’s biggest, best-loved parades — and yes, there’s candy for the kids!
Then at 11:30, head to the Fairview Park Pavilion for the annual Labor Day picnic. Union members get in free, and it’s just $25 for the public.
And at 1 p.m., the “We Are One Community” fund does something seriously awesome — handing out $18,000 in grants to 22 local charities!
Parade. Picnic. Candy chaos. Community cash doing actual good.
That’s Labor Day in Decatur — show up, have fun, and enjoy the day!
