NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
**TIME CHANGE**
The Decatur Public School District #61 Board of Education will begin the
Open Session Meeting at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 08, 2026
at the Keil Administration Building
101 West Cerro Gordo Street, Decatur IL 62523
The Board of Education will meet in Open Session at 4:00 PM and
immediately move into Closed Executive Session to conduct a student
discipline/expulsion hearing, discuss the appointment, employment,
compensation and performance of specific employees of the public body and
collective negotiating matters between the Board and representatives of its
employees. NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN IN CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION.
The Board of Education will move back into Open Session at 5:30 PM, reconvene in the 1st floor Board Room at the Keil Administration Building, 101
W. Cerro Gordo Street, Decatur, IL, 62523 (instead of 6:30 PM) continue with
its Open Session Agenda and take-action, as appropriate. The time change
will allow staff to attend additional district events on this evening.
