Illinois State Fair Underway

The 2026 Illinois State Fair is officially underway in Springfield, opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by state and local officials. Fairgoers can expect a full slate of summer traditions, from carnival rides and livestock shows to harness racing, live music, and the Twilight Parade. This year’s grandstand lineup features major names, including Bailey Zimmerman, Lainey Wilson, Matchbox Twenty, 38 Special, Ziggy Marley, Wiz Khalifa, Ella Langley, The Chicks, and Shinedown. The Illinois State Fair runs through August 23rd, bringing food, entertainment, agriculture, and family fun to the capital city.
