Step inside Decatur’s past and experience an evening where history comes to life at the Taste of History, Friday, September 12th from 5 to 8 p.m.
Tour four of Decatur’s most treasured historic landmarks: The Staley Museum, the James Millikin Homestead, Culver House, and the Governor Oglesby Mansion. At each stop, you’ll enjoy hors d’oeuvres, beverages, special displays, and fascinating stories shared by knowledgeable docents who bring the people, places, and moments of Decatur’s history to life.
To make the evening easy and enjoyable, free trolley rides will run throughout the event from the Central Christian Church parking lot on West William Street, taking guests from one historic location to the next.
The Taste of History is for adults 21 and over only. Tickets are $40 in advance, or $45 after September 7th.
