Tram service is making its return to the Illinois State Fair in Springfield this year. Fair officials say two trams will operate a dedicated daily route throughout all 11 days of the event, giving fairgoers an easier way to move around the grounds. The rides will be free for everyone attending and will include handicap accessibility, helping more visitors reach exhibits, entertainment, food vendors, and other fair attractions. The Illinois State Fair runs August 13th through August 23rd. Organizers say the returning tram service is aimed at improving convenience and access during one of the state’s biggest summer events.
