Illinois State Police have identified the human remains found in Lake Mattoon as Dalewayne Turner of Plainfield. Authorities say boaters discovered part of a human arm in the water Sunday night and contacted officials. Investigators later confirmed the remains belonged to Turner. At this point, police have not released details on how Turner died or how the remains ended up in the lake. The case remains under investigation by Illinois State Police, and officials are asking anyone with information that could help investigators to come forward.
