If you need a safe place to cool down, rest, or get out of the heat, use these public spaces during posted hours. Check on neighbors, bring water, and stay safe.

**Decatur**
The Macon County Department of Human Resources is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 1027 N. Water Street.
Oasis Day Center is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 243 W. Cerro Gordo Street.
Decatur Civic Center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 1 Gary K Anderson Plaza.
Decatur Public Library is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at 130 N. Franklin Street.
Salvation Army Community Center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center will be available if the temperature is 95-plus degrees. It is located at 299 W. Main Street.

**Forsyth**

**Mt. Zion**
