IDOL Recovers $400K in Back Wages

The Illinois Department of Labor has announced the successful recovery of nearly $400,000 in unpaid wages for 29 workers across the state. Three employers—General Energy Corp, Lake of Egypt Docks, and Empire Electric —were found in violation of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Alongside recovering the wages, the Department also assessed penalties in these cases.
