ILLINOIS STATE POLICE ANNNOUCES THE APPLICATION PROCESS IS NOW OPEN FOR 2026 YOUTH CADET LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY IN SPRINGFIELD

Applications are now open for the 2026 Youth Cadet Law Enforcement Academy in Springfield, hosted by the Illinois State Police, American Legion, and the Illinois National Guard.  Targeted at teens aged 15 to 17, the week-long camp runs from June 21 to 26 at Camp Lincoln Military Academy.  Cadets will experience leadership training, team-building, and physical activities, fostering mutual respect and positive connections with law enforcement.  Local agencies and civic groups are also providing mentorship.
