Eight new Troopers from Cadet Class 153 officially joined the Illinois State Police today after graduating from the ISP Academy in Springfield. These officers, each with previous law enforcement experience, completed a rigorous 14-week academy followed by 14 weeks of field training. The new Troopers will be assigned to five locations across Illinois, including Chicago, Macomb, Pontiac, Collinsville, and Du Quoin. Governor JB Pritzker and ISP Director Brendan F. Kelly both praised the graduates’ dedication to public service and the core values of integrity, service, and pride. New Troopers earn approximately $90,000 annually.
