Forsyth is set for a culinary transformation as five new restaurants prepare to open just north of Interstate 72 along Route 51 by the end of 2027. Chick-fil-A will replace the former Applebee’s building, while Diamond’s Family Restaurant owners are taking over the old Crab Lobster site. Tequilas Pura Vida plans to open inside the BP gas station at US 51 and Shaffer Street. Additionally, Pizza Place on Main will build behind Aspen Dental, and Jimmy John’s is moving into the old Subway location. Village Administrator Jill Applebee says these changes will boost sales tax revenue and enhance community amenities like parks and trails.
