A Taylorville resident faces serious allegations after multiple vehicles were reported stolen across central Illinois. Police have identified Brandon Rhodes as the suspect connected with the theft of a Chevy Suburban and a Chevy Tahoe in recent days. Authorities say Rhodes previously stole a vehicle in Taylorville on February 12th, drove it to Springfield, and then allegedly took another vehicle there before being arrested in Peoria. Despite his arrest, Rhodes was released and accused of stealing an additional vehicle shortly after. He was apprehended again, booked on two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle, and released on February 17th.
