While inclement weather, along with other issues, put a damper on the festivities
December 12 and 13 th, Decatur First Responders gave their all from 8 am until 6 pm to
support The Salvation Army and our Police, Sheriff, & both City and County Fire
Departments as they have in the past. All of these First Responders rang bells for
The Decatur Salvation Army. The group that raised the most money has been
declared the 2025 winner.
This annual event started in 2011 with the County Fire Department vs. the Sheriff
Department raising $10,214 with the County Fire Department winning that year.
During the past 14 years, the event has raised over $200,000 to support the programs
of The Salvation Army. What an incredible event to support our Community.
Once again, the Decatur Fire Department raised the most dollars in spite of the weather and is the 2025 Guns and Hoses Bell Ringing Champions!
