Libraries To Stock Opioid Overdose Reversal Medications
Libraries across the state will soon be required to keep opioid overdose reversal medication on hand. The move was prompted by reports of multiple overdoses that occurred in at least one Illinois library. Several libraries in Illinois already stock drugs like naloxone or nalmefene in the event of an overdose on the premises. The law takes effect on January 1st.
