Illinois Releases Illinois Birth Equity Blueprint

State officials are releasing the Illinois Birth Equity Blueprint. The blueprint is described as a roadmap designed to improve maternal healthcare and birth outcomes in Illinois. It has four strategic goals, including expanding investments in health quality and provider support, promoting access to birth and specialty care services, and establishing universal risk assessment, referral, and a care coordination framework. The blueprint also hopes to develop a shared measurement and accountability framework for maternal health and birth equity.
