Prosecutors Seek To Dismiss Slover Case
(Decatur, IL) — Prosecutors are pushing to dismiss a high-profile murder case in central Illinois in 1996. The Macon County State’s Attorney’s office filed a motion to have the Slover case dropped. Jeannette Slover, her husband, Michael Slover, Senior, and her son, Michael Slover, Junior, were found guilty in 2002 of murdering Michael Junior’s ex-wife, Karyn Hearn Slover. Jeannette Slover died in custody earlier this year, while Michael Senior passed away in prison in 2022. Michael Junior was paroled in the spring of 2024.
