IDOT Making Adjustments For Holiday Travel
(Springfield, IL) — Lanes across several Illinois highways are reopening to allow for an influx in holiday traffic. The Illinois Department of Transportation announced non-emergency closures will be suspended from 3 o’clock this afternoon through Sunday night at midnight. Millions of residents across the state are expected to be hitting the road for Thanksgiving. Still, some construction closures will remain, but officials are hoping their adjustments will help keep things less congested.
