Sonya Massey’s Family, Civil Rights Leaders Call For Justice
(Chicago, IL) — The family of Sonya Massey and civil rights leaders are calling for justice in her case. Massey’s family members were joined by the Reverend Al Sharpton and attorney Ben Crump yesterday in Chicago to demand federal and state police reforms. They believe the reforms would have prevented Massey from being shot and killed by former Sangamon County deputy Sean Grayson earlier this month in her Springfield home. Grayson has been charged with murder.
