Former State Senator Reverses Course and Pleads Guilty To Corruption Charges
(Springfield, IL) — Former state Senator Sam McCann has pleaded guilty to charges of corruption. The prosecutors were going to rest their case yesterday, when McCann decided to plead guilty to all counts. It is estimated by prosecutors that McCann stole over half a million dollars. His Sentencing is scheduled for June.
