Decatur Woman Gets Probation After Animal Cruelty Plea
(Macon Co., IL) — A Decatur woman is avoiding prison time after pleading guilty to allowing her dog to starve to death. The 33-year-old pleaded guilty Tuesday in Macon County court to aggravated cruelty to animals and the judge sentenced her to a year of probation. She was arrested after a dog was found dead in a crate alongside the road in Macon County in January.
