Man Convicted Of Killing Elderly Springfield Woman To Be Sentenced
(Springfield, IL) — A man convicted of killing an elderly woman in her Springfield home in 2019 will be sentenced today. David Dale Smith was found guilty of first degree murder in the death of 80-year-old Donna Bricker. Prosecutors say Bricker was beaten, stabbed with scissors, and strangled. Lindenwood faces between 20 years and life in prison.
