Man Sentenced In Champaign Shooting Of Elderly Couple
(Champaign, IL) — A man is being sentenced to 80 years in prison for a Champaign shooting last September that left two elderly people wounded. Kenichi Townsend was convicted of attempted murder in May after the victims were shot in their driveway on September 8th. Investigators believe Townsend and his co-defendant intended to kill someone named Oshae Cotton. His co-defendant is still awaiting trial.
