Man Charged In Decatur Burglaries
(Decatur, IL) — A man is charged following a series of burglaries on the north side of Decatur. Police say at least eight business burglaries were discovered to have happened since last week Thursday, mainly in the area of Pershing and Route 51. As officers were responding to a burglary in progress Sunday night at a business downtown on Merchant Street, they located Demarco Ford and arrested him after a brief chase. Officers searched his home and discovered evidence related to the north side burglaries.
