Decatur and Franklin Park Awarded Rail Safety Projects Funds
(Springfield, IL) — The City of Decatur and Village of Franklin Park are inaugural recipients of new Railroad Crossing Elimination Grant Program funds. The Federal Railroad Administration announced that 570-million-dollars will go to projects in 32 states to improve rail safety and make it easier for pedestrians and motorists to get around railroad tracks. The money will help fund rail safety projects in Decatur and Franklin Park.
