Springfield Man Pleads Not Guilty To Murdering Elderly Woman
(Springfield, IL) — A Springfield man is pleading not guilty to murdering an elderly woman last month. Fredrick Degraffenried faces numerous charges in connection to the death of Darlene O’Bryan, who was found dead in her Springfield home March 15th. Authorities say Degraffenried forced himself into the victim’s home and demanded money. He then proceeded to brutally beat her before stabbing her in the neck with a fork and a pair of scissors.
