Oquawka Sentenced To Prison On Child Porn Charges
(Springfield, IL) — An Oquawka, Illinois man is going to prison on child porn charges. Gale Hurt was sentenced to 180 months for sexual exploitation of a child and receipt of child pornography. Prosecutors say Hurt communicated with a fourteen-year-old girl in February 2022, using an online chatting app and his phone. He exchanged inappropriate images with the child and discussed the two meeting to engage in a sexual relationship.
