Apparent Deadly Home Invasion In Springfield Under Investigation
(Springfield, IL) — Police are investigating an apparent deadly home invasion in Springfield. Authorities say officers were called out Friday to the 11-hundred block of South 19th Street on a report of a home invasion. The caller said he had confronted a subject inside the home. When officers arrived, they discovered one person who had been stabbed. The person died from his injuries at the hospital. He has identified as Alonzo Billups.
