Charges Pending After Sangamon Co Standoff
(Sangamon Co., IL) — Charges are pending following a three-hour standoff in Sangamon County. Authorities say a driver stopped yesterday in the 35-hundred block of Ogden Road and refused to leave his vehicle. Officers were called to the scene on a report of a distraught man who was exhibiting signs of harming himself. He eventually exited the vehicle and was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Nearby Riverton Schools were placed on lockdown during the standoff.
