IDOT, ISP Warning Not To Drink And Drive Over St. Pat’s Holiday Weekend
(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois State Police are reminding the public not to rely on “luck” when celebrating over the St. Patrick’s Day holiday weekend. This means not getting behind the wheel if you’ve had too much to drink. Illinois State Police along with two-hundred law enforcement agencies around the state will step up patrols to keep roadways safe. Police say it’s best to designate a sober driver before any partying begins. For those hosting a party, make sure guests who have been drinking have a sober driver to take them home.
