Illinois Suspends Fuel Tax For Vehicles Assisting In Hurricane Relief
The Illinois Department of Revenue is temporarily suspending the fuel tax for commercial vehicles assisting with Hurricane Relief Efforts in Florida. The international fuel tax agreement licensing requirements will be suspended for 30 days. Operators of qualified vehicles in Illinois will not be ticketed or penalized for non-registration if they can provide proof that they are traveling to or coming from a emergency disaster area.
