Rail Workers Reach a Tentative Labor Agreement

A major supply chain disruption appears to have been avoided as rail workers have reached a tentative labor agreement, thus avoiding a rail workers strike. President Biden announced this morning a deal had been reached between the workers and railway companies. Biden said the deal is a win for workers who “worked tirelessly through the pandemic,” and it will provide rail workers with better pay, improved working conditions and “peace of mind around their health care costs.”
