Two Arrested After Police Chase And Crash In Urbana
Two people are facing charges following a police chase and crash in Urbana. Authorities say officers yesterday tried to pull over a vehicle near University and Goodwin in Urbana but the driver sped away before colliding with another vehicle near Vine and Washington. The people in the vehicle fled and police chased them on foot. Two female passengers were detained and Kenichi Townsend and Juvon Mays were arrested on multiple charges. As a result of the incident, Urbana Middle School and Urbana High School were placed on a temporary soft lockdown.
