Man Holding BB Gun Near Several Springfield Schools
New information is being revealed about the man spotted holding a gun near several schools in Springfield this week. Police say the man was seen walking Tuesday in the area of Cook and New Streets. As a result, Springfield High School, Graham Elementary, and Trinity Lutheran School were all placed on soft lockdowns. A 19-year-old contacted police yesterday and said he was the person seen holding the firearm, which was a BB gun. Officers met with him and verified that the object was a BB gun.
