Man Sentenced 55 Years For Killing McHenry Co. Deputy In 2019
A judge is sentencing a Springfield man to federal prison for 55 years for the killing a McHenry County sheriff’s deputy in 2019. Floyd Brown was sentenced yesterday after he was found guilty earlier this year of second-degree murder of a federal officer, and other charges in the death of Jacob Keltner. Prosecutors say Brown shot and killed Keltner in March 2019 as officers attempted to execute an arrest warrant at a Rockford hotel.
