ISP Reveals More Details About Suspected Highland Park Shooter
Illinois State Police is revealing more details about the man charged in the deadly mass shooting in Highland Park. ISP received a report on Robert Crimo The Third in September 2019 from the Highland Park Police Department about threats he made against his family. No arrests were made and law enforcement took no additional action. Despite the report, Crimo’s father helped him apply for a Firearm Owners ID card in December 2019. Crimo received his FOID card in early 2020 and later passed four background for purchasing firearms. He bought the AR-15-style rifle that authorities say he used to kill seven people and wound dozens of other during the July 4th parade in Highland Park.
