Election Results
In Tuesday’s Primary Election, Governor Pritzker easily won the Democrat party nomination while Senator Darren Bailey handily defeated Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin and Jesse Sullivan on the GOP Ballot. In other races of note, Freshman Congresswoman Mary Miller defeated 5 time Congressman Rodney Davis in the newly drawn 15th District and Regan Deering edged out Jesse Reising in the new 13th Congressional District. In the Macon County Sheriff’s GOP Primary, incumbent Jim Root came out the winner over challenger Cody Moore and in the Circuit Court GOP Primary, it was Shane Mendenhall over Judge Rodney Forbes. The General Election is this coming November.
