Arrest Made in the Case of a Missing Decatur Woman
On November 20th, 2020, the Decatur Police Department responded to a missing person complaint of a 41-year-old female Decatur resident. Detectives with the Decatur Police Department were assigned to investigate this complaint. After a lengthy and complex investigation, probable cause was developed to arrest 45-year-old Decatur resident Troy D. Slaw for First Degree Murder, Dismembering a Human Body, and Concealment of a Homicidal Death. In addition, an arrest warrant was obtained for 23-year-old Chase M. Freeman for Concealment of a Homicidal Death and Dismembering a Human Body. Slaw and Freeman have both been booked into the Macon County Jail.
