Lincoln College To Close Today
Lincoln College is closing today after 157 years. The predominantly Black institution in central Illinois is shutting down after the Board of Trustees voted to cease all academic programming at the end of the spring semester. The COVID-19 pandemic led to financial issues and a significant drop in enrollment. This followed record-breaking student enrollment in the fall of 2019.
