On May 6th, 2022 at approximately 1:37 a.m., the Decatur Police Department responded to 129 S. Oakland Avenue, the parking lot of Lock Stock & Barrel, reference a report of numerous shots fired. Multiple spent shell casings were located throughout the parking lot. While on scene, three Decatur residents arrived at the hospitals with apparent gunshot wounds. Two of the victims were treated and are in stable condition. The third victim is in critical condition.
Detectives with the Decatur Police Department responded to investigate the incident. As a result of the investigation, probable cause was developed to arrest one of the victims, an 18-year-old male Decatur resident, for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Probable cause was also established to arrest a 35-year-old male Decatur resident for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Possession of a Weapon by a Felon. Both subjects were booked into the Macon County Jail.
