SPRING PLANTING
Normally this time of year, farmers are busy in the fields planting corn, but the cold, wet weather is keeping them from doing so. By this time, 10 to 15 percent of corn is in the ground but the number is closer to two percent. Farmers are holding off until the weather warms up because planting too early could stress the seeds.
